The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch from 2 p.m. today through Friday morning. Strong thunderstorms are headed toward western and central Vermont have the potential to produce 1 to 2 inches of rain in a short amount of time. This is a situation where roadways can flood quickly, producing dangerous driving conditions.
In addition, these storms have the potential to produce 70 mph wind gusts, cloud to ground lightning, large hail and an isolated tornado. Please use caution.
